ORIENTAL PRATINCOLE Glareola maldivarum

The eastern equivalent of Collared, to which it is closely related and very similar in appearence. It breeds in South-east Asia, migrating south, but has occured as a vagrant as far west as Britain. Difficulty in confirming identification may have caused it to be overlooked in the past, but there are currently about six records in the U.K.
