WHISTLING HERON Syrigma sibilatrix

A Heron placed in its own genus, Whistling Heron has an odd distribution. Two races occur, one in the Llanos area of Venezuela and Colombia, the other primarily from southeast Brazil to northern Argentina and bordering countries.The centre bird is from the Pantanal, the others being taken in the Llanos.
