BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING-DUCK Dendrocygna autumnalis

Despite a more restricted range than the previous species, from Texas to Northern Argentina, two subspecies occur which can sometimes be identified in the field, but intergrades occur. Photos were taken in Texas, Brazil and captivity, the front page bird is from Bermuda, where they are uncommon winter visitors.
