WHITE-TAILED TROPICBIRD Phaethon lepturus

Widespread in tropical oceans, a more elegant species than its close relative, Red-tailed. Six subspecies have been described, of which fulva has an apricot/yellow morph (next taxon). Despite some evidence and the fact it is only found on Christmas Island, a split is unlikey, whereas catesbyi, found in the Carribean, is a more likely candidate.
