Seventeen records since the first two in 1988, but difficult to catch up with until the long-staying (relatively) bird in 2015. Very fast flyers, that
bird convinced that an upgrade of camera to a mark II was necessary, and so it proved. The epithet "Eurasian" is quite recent, but welcome to avoid confusion with other taxa in the same genus some of which
came about due to a split. It occurs from Spain and North Africa to China, and is migratory, so I have come across it in many countries.
