HEERMANN'S GULL
Larus heermanni
One of the most beautiful gulls in breeding plumage, this bird is found along much of the Pacific coast of North America & Mexico, although most breed on islands in the Gulf of Mexico. Immatures are brown and gradually become grey over about three years, the red bill developing at the same time.
