GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL
Larus glaucescens

Mainly breeding down the north-west coast of North America, especially around the Bering Sea, this species hybridises extensively with Western Gull, and hybrids almost outnumber pure birds in some areas. There have been two Western Palearctic records, look out for the all-blackish bill of 1st winter birds.
