COMB-CRESTED JACANA Irediparra gallinacea

The sole Australasian representative of the jacana family, commonly found in the northern tropical regions of Australia , New Guinea, parts of Borneo and north to the Phillipines. A highly sedentary bird, rarely even undertaking a prolonged flight. The "comb" is unique in the Jacanas, found only in adults.
