AA BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY

Buying photos

FORMATS

All our images are available as prints up to 8 x 10 inches in size. Obviously many people want 6 x 4 inch, and we usually only supply enlargements if the original is suitable, although most are. Some rarity photos in particular are just record shots and can't really be enlarged.
Many of our foreign photos are taken on slide film, although I have now "gone digital". We can still supply copy transparencies, but I no longer copy them myself, so the cost is higher and subject to negotiation depending on the quantity. In a few cases I may have spare originals.
Many British species are also available, and we are now making available CDs or DVDs containing up to 100 JPEG files which you may view or use to produce your own prints.

GRADING
We attempt to grade rarity photos using A,B,C or D. This is fairly obvious, A being the best etc., but bear in mind that other factors may be taken into consideration, such as the number of photographers having shots of a particular rarity. Generally, A or B will be an acceptable photo of good standard, whereas C is usually a record shot and D (which we tend only to market if no-one else has got one) we would not recommend unless you really must have something.

ORDERS
Should you wish to order anything from our rarity lists, please use the reference number beginning 'BR' or 'AT'. This number appears in the bottom right-hand corner of all photos in the recent rarities section, or in the lists. Photos of British and foreign birds may be ordered by species name, lists for foreign countries or the Western Palearctic can be sent or e-mailed on request. Include your address and we will send the photos and invoice you, we do not require payment "up-front".

CONTACT
Please phone or e-mail if you have any enquiries. Ann is usually in and can take any orders or answer queries. If you do not have the number please e-mail initially.
